5. When the color changes, the filter (especially HEPA) should be replaced as soon as possible after it turns black.
If your air purifier has been used for a period of time, and there are 2~4 phenomena, you can choose to clean the filter screen first. If the above problems still exist after cleaning, it is necessary to consider replacing~
First, Observe the shell of the air purifier
If the shell of the air purifier is contaminated with dust and stains, you can use a soft cloth to wipe it. But don’t use an overly wet cloth, keep it dry and clean.
Second, Keep the vent unobstructed
The smoothness of the air inlet and outlet is the primary factor to ensure the efficiency of air purification.
Generally speaking, the air inlet is easier to accumulate dust and hair. You can use a soft brush to clean up the pollutants that fall into the air inlet.
At the same time, the use of air purifiers must not block the air inlet and outlet.
Third, the cleaning method for the filter
The filter is at the heart of how an air purifier works. Generally speaking, it needs to be replaced every 3-6 months.
Most of the filter screens are composite filter screens. Common filter screens are generally divided into primary filter screen layers, HEPA filter screen layers, and activated carbon filter screen layers.
Each layer of filter has different materials, different effects, and different cleaning methods.
The primary filter layer and the HEPA filter layer can be cleaned with a dry soft brush or a vacuum cleaner to remove pollutants from the surface.
The activated carbon filter can be taken outside to bask in the sun on a sunny day.
Cleaning the filter screen can make it work better within its service life, but for the long-term effectiveness of the air purifier, its filter screen should be replaced regularly according to usage conditions or replacement reminders.
